The
main temple in Katirgama, was established by Siddha Boganathar.
Through the centuries Katirgama has been the scene of many miracles.
It, contains no carved image of God. Instead, Boganathar installed
a mystic yantra, a sacred geometric design, carved into a golden
plate. A Yantra is the geometric crystallization of the sound of
the name. This yantra had the deity Murugan within its form and
mantra syllables. The mystical power of this yantra was imparted
              by Siddha Boganathar.

The
temple lies deep inside a forest. In this forest, from time immemorial,
saints, sages, and siddhas have practiced austerities, and today
the atmosphere is charged with spiritual vibrations. Have you ever
prayed in a position constantly? The space where you do so is sacred,
and carries every vibration of your "Bhakti" (prayer).

Finally
Nagaraj met Siddha Boganathar at Katirgama. Boganathar was a realised
guru. Nagraj finally found a Guru and became his disciple. Nagaraj
performed intensive yogic practices, particularly various meditation
techniques. Every practice he was into initiated by Boganathar.
The intensive yogic practice was done for long periods without a
break, up to 48 days at a stretch. Guru Boganathar watched and lovingly
initiated him into more advanced advanced practices. Finally with
deepening meditation experiences, the truths became a reality for
him. No longer was it academic Knowledge.

The
various meditation unchained his mind from the limiting processes
of the mind, allowing his consciousness to expand and realize its
identity with absolute reality. The I consciousness receded and
" I am That" consciousness became established.

His
consciousness merged in the Cosmic Spirit; his life force withdrew
from the physical body, leaving it completely motionless as though
it were dead. The samadhi experiences deepened gradually. It reached
a climax with a vision of Lord entered his form as the eternal youth.
He realized that he was now incarnating the consciousness of Lord
Murugan, or the Divine Spirit. He finally could delight in the merging
of his being with the Divine.
